Make technology decisions with someone who knows the trade.

Which cloud, which supplier, which contract, what do we build and what do we buy? With CTO as a Service you have an experienced cloud and workplace architect at the table for a fixed number of days per month. Not a licence salesman, but someone on your side of the table.

Who it's for

Sound familiar?

You are growing, merging, or facing a big IT decision: a new cloud environment, an ERP choice, a six-figure contract renewal. You have good IT people, but no architect who guards the long line and advises the board.

Situations in which clients end up with us

  • Every supplier happens to recommend their own product.
  • The IT roadmap is a list of things that are broken.
  • The board doesn't understand the IT budget and signs it anyway.
  • There is a cloud, AI or sovereignty question and nobody dares answer it.
How it works

Four steps, no surprises.

01

Technology snapshot

What do you have, what does it cost, what is it worth, where does it hurt? Including the contracts and dependencies.

02

Roadmap

Two years ahead, by priority and budget. What first, what later, what never.

03

Direction on delivery

Supplier selection, architecture decisions, budget and schedule control. The CTO sits in the important conversations on your side.

04

Board meeting

Quarterly: where we are on the roadmap, what we decide, what it costs. In plain language.

What's included

  • Two-year technology roadmap
  • Cloud and licence costs under control
  • Architecture decisions and documentation
  • Supplier selection and contract advice
  • AI and sovereignty questions answered
  • Guidance for major projects (migration, ERP, merger)
  • Quarterly board meeting

"The best IT decision is often: we're not doing this. A supplier earns nothing from that. We do: your trust."Remy Cavo, Remarx

Frequently asked questions

What does a CTO as a Service do?

They oversee your technology choices, roadmap and budgets, and sit on your side of the table in supplier conversations. Each quarter they discuss with the board where you stand, what needs deciding and what it costs — in plain language.

When do I need a CTO and when an architect?

A CTO is about direction: which choices you make, in what order, within what budget. A cloud and workplace architect is about delivery: how the environment is technically built. Both are available separately and complement each other.

How many days a month do we need?

For most organisations up to a few hundred employees, one or two days a month is enough to steer the roadmap, suppliers and budgets structurally.

Does our current IT partner stay on?

That works fine. The CTO actively manages the relationship with your existing suppliers and reviews their proposals on your behalf. You do not have to switch partners first in order to add someone alongside them.
